Georgian Robotics Association (GRA)

Engineering a scalable digital platform for robotics education — a custom CMS, blog, and donation payment system that unify competitions, events, and community initiatives in one place.

My Role

Tech Lead — led architecture and delivery end to end: technical scoping, system design, custom CMS development, donation payment integration, multi-language localization, performance optimization, deployment, and client communication.

Project Type

Client Project — building a scalable digital ecosystem for robotics education, competitions, and community engagement, delivered end to end by my team at Koober Coders.

Tools Used

Custom CMS, blog engine, donation payment integration, multi-language localization (i18n), Docker, Nginx, custom CI/CD

Problem & Solutions

Organizing a Large Content Ecosystem

Problem

The platform needed to present diverse content — competitions, educational programs, news, events, partnerships, donations and organisational information — without overwhelming users.

Solution

I restructured the information architecture into a logical hierarchy, introduced clear navigation patterns, and grouped related content to improve discoverability while reducing cognitive load.

Designing for Multiple User Groups

Problem

Students, parents, educators, sponsors, volunteers and administrators all interact with the platform differently, requiring distinct user journeys.

Solution

I designed flexible user flows that accommodate different goals while maintaining a consistent interface, letting users quickly navigate to the content most relevant to them.

Supporting Long-Term Growth

Problem

The association continuously launches new competitions, educational initiatives and events, requiring a platform that can evolve without frequent redesigns.

Solution

I built a modular design system with reusable components and scalable page structures, making it easy to introduce new content while preserving visual consistency.

Improving User Engagement

Problem

Registration processes and key actions needed to be more visible and accessible to encourage participation.

Solution

Strategically positioned calls-to-action, improved visual hierarchy and streamlined interaction flows helped reduce friction throughout the registration and engagement process.

A Comprehensive Robotics Ecosystem

Instead of a traditional informational website, the platform brings competitions, educational programs, events, news, partnerships, donations and community initiatives together within one cohesive digital experience.

Scalable Content Architecture

A modular information structure lets administrators continuously add new competitions, educational programs and events while maintaining a consistent, intuitive experience for users.

A Multi-Audience Experience

The platform serves students, parents, educators, sponsors, volunteers and administrators through carefully designed navigation and tailored journeys that address each group's unique needs.

Growth & Outcome

The platform gave the Georgian Robotics Association a scalable technical foundation. Administrators manage competitions, programs, blog content, and events through a custom CMS without developer involvement, donations are accepted online, and the fully localized, performance-optimized site is ready to grow with new initiatives and an expanding community.
